This is the fourth enclosure order from UGREEN. First three arrived in less than a week. This last order took longer than 3 weeks. Very disappointing... I´ll think twice if I need to order another item.

So the screw-less design means you might break the little piece of plastic inside to allow smaller M.2 to sit, fortunately i didn't but i imagine it would be easy to break - once installed with the thermal tape its all fine. it didn't overheat with a samsung 970 but for the 2 weeks i played games off it, i crashed it 2-3 times - you're probably not meant to play games off it though and i don't anymore. Normal data use? this thing would be fine.

The metal body makes no contact with the thermal pad and therefore no contact with the SSD. And if the SSD is one of the hotter running ones, it will overheat (stupid Corsair MP500 for example). The problem is when it overheats, the whole thing shuts down and turns off my usb port on my PC and I have to reboot the PC to get he usb port working again .... wtf?!

I am using 2 tb nvme true this enclosure. Proof of speed is uploaded. I recommend this for anyone who is using it true USB type 3,2 gen 2 type c.

Nach dem das Produkt ankam, konnte man mit nur wenigen Handgriffen einfach und unkompliziert die SSD einsetzen und sofort über mutgelieferte Kabel benutzen. Das Design ist handlich und äussert stabil. Durch die mitgelieferte Kühleinheit ist auch ein überhitzen stark reduziert. Der Preis ist mehr als ok.

The built quality is good and works well. However, the case is about 25% larger then other competitors. I would give it 5 stars if the manufactory could make it smaller.

I used this for cloning a ssd using samsung magician. Works flawless. I got the old one hitting in it for whenever I may need it or cloning in future use.

Lo único que tengo que decir sobre este case es que tiene un botón que a mi parecer no es muy seguro y podría salirse la ssd. En cuanto funcionamiento es muy buena, cumple….

Al instalar el M2, lleva una pequeña pestaña (en vez de tornillo) que gira para sujetar, hay que girarla a mano y es una pieza incómoda y pequeña. Si se te cae al suelo y tienes la mala suerte de que caiga sobre la cara que pone "push", se abre por completo.

La caja del producto llego aplastada, la verdad me preocupaba, ya es la segunda vez que me pasa, pero afortunadamente el case estaba en buenas condiciones, funciona excelente a las velocidades señaladas y es compatible con todos mis dispositivos

I purchased this enclosure with the intent of cloning my Dell XPS 7590 ssd to my new Samsung 970 Evo Plus ssd. The new ssd was easy to install, but when I connected it to the computer, it was not recognized. However, I open Macrium Reflect free and could see it was there, but it wasn’t labeled as Samsung. None of that mattered. I set it up to be the clone, and the ssd in the enclosure, cloned successfully. I can’t speak to running the ssd from the enclosure long term, but the enclosures does work, and the more expensive enclosure wasn’t needed for my purposes. If your goal is to leave the ssd in the enclosure for an extended period of time, then maybe the more expensive option would be better. I’m happy with the purchase for my needs.

I got this Solid-State Drive (SSD) enclosure to recover data from a dead laptop. It took some research, first on how to get the SSD out of the old laptop and then to recover my BitLocker encryption keys for the dead laptop. Needed the keys in order to access the SSD after it was installed in the enclosure and attached as a remote drive. The easy part was putting the SSD into the enclosure. I now have access to all of the files that were feared to be lost.

Boitier parfait pour un clonage de disque, il m’a permis de cloner le ssd système pleins et vieillissant de mon pc en 20min montre en mains (approx 150go) avec le câble USB-C. Je ne l’utiliserai pas en boitier nomade, il s’ouvre et se ferme par simple clips mais l’accès au ssd en des plus simplifié, parfait pour mon usage, je le garde comme disque externe de bureau.

Very easy to use. I was able to install my 2tb m.2 ssd Samsung EVO plus. No hassle. My dell laptop recognized it right away. Transfer speed between this and my local ssd was 300 MBPS.

La qualité semble au rendez vous pour loger un SSD en format NVMe et obtenir un débit élevé sur Mac comme PC par l'USB-C (câble fourni). Facile à installer, et instantanément reconnu (il faut évidemment formater le SSD depuis l'application ad hoc.). Bonne dissipation thermique. On verra ce que cela donne sur la durée, mais c'est pour l'instant un sans faute.

I have other SATA M.2 external drives, I needed an NVME version for the purpose of cloning an existing NVME in my desktop so I could upgrade to a faster drive with more capacity. What I like the most about this is no tools required to swap SSD's, so for the sake of cloning drives where you are popping them in and out, this is a great feature to have.

Al principio lo veía algo grande para un SSD. Pero una vez lo abres y montas etc… fantástico. Dudo que se pueda montar un disco más fácilmente. Un plis plas. Me he alegrado de elegir este modelo. Y es reconocido funciona y transfiere muy bien también.

The curved design means there's no contact between the SSD, the thermal pad, and the metal case. The internals are all plastic. The result is that it's a hotbox and if you're doing a lot of IO it's going to cook. Everything else about it seems to be pretty good. I might try to add another pad but too much of that is counterproductive. It's a shame, I've been pretty happy with UGreen otherwise.

Si buscas un caddy para reutilizar tu nvme sobrante, o simplemente necesitas uno para clonar unidades y que sea eficiente y fácil de utilizar, éste es el caddy ideal, soporta unidades nvme y m2 de hasta 2 tb. Incluye 2 cables: Usb tipo c a tipo c y usb tipo c a tipo a, un pad térmico y se puede utilizar en pc, mac o teléfonos. El único punto en contra es que es algo pesado (por ser de aluminio), fuera de ello funciona bien y viene bien protegido con una cubierta externa de silicón.

Hab den Adapter für eine 2230 Nvme SSD genutzt. Das Einsetzen nach beigelieferter Anleitung war simpel. Die SSD wurde auch dank Adapter vom System erkannt. Das beigelieferte Zubehör ist umfangreich. Einziges Manko, die Geschwindigkeit war nicht so gut wie ich erwartet hätte, will nicht ausschließen dass vielleicht die SSD mit dem Adapter einfach nicht so gut zusammenpasst, daher nur 1 Stern Abzug.

This enclosure is very nice and easy to use. Like a match box slide the it open, insert your M.2 card and use the rubber peg to secure the card. I did find this a bit fiddly cos my big fingers, but no fault of the design. Fast delivery by the seller and very nice to use if wanted to clone your M.2 and then use as a storage device if needed too.

Works well for my use to temporarily stick a NVME Samsung 870 EVO Plus 2 TB ssd in it for cloning a laptop drive. The rubber bumper/insert used to lock the ssd down isn't very secure, but is does work. Wouldn't want to use it in an active enviroment though, afraid it would get loose. Enclosure got pretty warm when I copied 154 gb onto the SSD from laptop drive. Going to look for another enclosure that will allow use of a real heatsink for NVME gen 4 use now.

Solides Gehäuse und Adapter für NVMe Speicher mit guter Geschwindigkeit über USB-C. Ich finde jedoch den Gummi-Anker zum Fixieren der Platinen etwas unflexibel (kann sich aus der Halterung lösen beim Befestigen und mit dem nur Drehen klappt es nicht immer zuverlässig). Gerade wenn man oft die Laufwerke austauscht, empfinde ich dies als störend.

Hat meinen umzug auf einen größeren speicher sehr erleichtert

The SSD I tried is perfectly supported and close to 10Gbps seq. read is reachable, workmanship is also great. But the pull-out install configuration makes the heat conducting paste almost useless, the paste has to touch the outer shell to dissipate the heat but it is not possible here. The heat paste only covers flash chips and controller making heating uniform but it doesn't help much with lowering the overall temperature.

Ich gehöre zu den Menschen deren Umfeld immer zu mir kommt, wenn etwas mit dem PC nicht stimmt. Die Diagnose und vor allem das Auslesen und retten von Daten ist daher für mich besonders wichtig. gekauft habe ich mir dieses Gehäuse allerdings aus eigenem Antrieb für eigene Zwecke. Ich musste mehrere SSD's überprüfen und brauchte aus diesem Grund einen externen Leser. Das Gehäuse kommt gut verpackt und bietet alle notwendigen Kabel. Dazu gibt es USB-C Kabel und USB auf C Kabel. Das gehäuse lässt sich durch einfaches herausschieben öffnen. Die SSD wird dann einfach nur eingelegt und mit einem kleinen Gummiknopf fixiert. Der Halter ist als Ersatz dabei falls der erste sich mal abnutzt. Besser geht es eigentlich nicht. muss man größere Mengen an SSD's hintereinander testen gibt es kein besseres Gehäuse. Es funktioniert selbst ohne das es komplett zusammengebaut wird, es bietet sich also ein offenes Gehäuse an. Nutzt man es unterwegs ist es aber auch stabil und gepolstert genug um die SSD nicht zu beschädigen. Das dunkle Material außen ist Gummi und schützt das Metallgehäuse zusätzlich. Ganz ehrlich... ohne Werbung machen zu wollen, aber ich würde das Gehäuse immer wieder kaufen, ich habe selten ein so einfaches, schnelles und stabiles Produkt gekauft. ich bin vollauf zufrieden!

Das Gerät deckt alle Größen ab und ist schnell installiert. Gut verpackt. Sauber verarbeitet. Gute Kühlung. Im Gamer Design ein Hingucker. Das Gehäuse ist etwas größer gehalten, aber das ist bei mir nicht relevant. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Das Gehäuse ist ZU EINFACH zum Öffnen! Kann unabsichtlich geöffnet werden.

Installation einer passenden SSD Speicherkarte gibt fix. Schön ist auch das ein passender Wärmeableiter beigelegt ist (Folie entfernen beim Installieren nicht vergessen.) Was mir negativ aufgefallen ist, die Vorrichtung zum öffnen des Gehäuses ist komplett aus Plastik. Auch die Haken, die durch Drücken, den inneren Teil freigeben. Ob das die Zeit überdauert mag ich bezweifeln. Aber ich lasse mich gern eines besseren Belehren. Ansonsten macht das Teil einen sehr wertigen Eindruck.

I wanted to like this enclosure for M.2 drives. But the rubber pin which is supposed to hold the drive down, in this case a 2280 drive. Without the pin in place to hold the end of the drive down, it would not show up on my laptop. It's a pretty case but perhaps overpriced a bit at $30.

Funcionó perfecto con un SSD NVMe, no he tenido problema de que se caliente aunque mi SSD no supera los 1700 mb/s de velocidad, faltaría probar con uno más rápido.

Perfekt, um M2 SSD's mobil zu machen. Ich hatte noch eine 512 GB M2 SSD, und fand es zu schade, diese nicht mehr zu nutzen. Super einfach in das Gehäuse gebaut und sofort Startklar. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

I had previously purchased another brand enclosure to run my Samsung 980 Pro SSD card, but it was DOA so I tried this one and I have to say I'm very happy with it so far. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the enclosure comes with a heat sink. I use this drive mainly for Time Machine on my 2021 Macbook Pro so it doesn't run all that much. Maybe that explains why it never even seems to get warm. It was easy to apply the heat sink and it pretty much just ran perfectly as soon as I plugged it into my USB-C port. I like the compact design. It doesn't take much space on my desk. I've only had this for a few days so I can't say much about durability yet.

After having trouble with 3 x Icy Box equivalents, with disconnects on Linux and Xbox X, I decided to try this UGREEN device. Haven't had a problem since. Highly recommended.

The tool-less design works great. Installing my old NVME SSD in the enclosure took less than a minute. It came with both a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-A to USB-C cable. Note, be sure to disconeect the drive when restarting your computer or disable USB booting in th BIOS to prevent the computer from failing to boot. If you accidentally do that just disconnect the drive and restart again. It will work after the computer has booted.
