Comprato in sostituzione di un altro box che era durato ben 12 ore prima di rompersi, questo lo uso da più di un anno e non ha mai dato problemi, io l’ho attaccato alla ps5 con dentro un crucial mx1000, la velocità è ottima. Una cosa molto positiva è il connettore usb-c, potete attaccarci tantissimi cavi facilmente reperibili, molti box hanno quella fastidiosa porta che sembra fatta da due micro usb-b, scomoda, fragile è difficile trovare cavi compatibili. Comprate questo.

I have a couple of these enclosures, one with an SSD the other with an older HDD. Both work fine on Windows and Apple machines.
Transfer speeds seemed slow. However, my needs are occasional and modest as these are used for weekly backups not continual use.
Drive installation was simple and straightforward.
Unlike older enclosures I’ve used, this requires only one USB socket though the lead is quite short.
Minor gripe: I fitted rubber feet to the underside to stop the unit sliding about when in use.

Je ne regrette pas mon achat pour un usage occasionnel à domicile. Le boitier est léger et facile à nettoyer car en plastique, mais les baroudeurs préfèreront peut être un matériau qui résistera mieux aux rayures.

Plunked an old 1TB SSD in it and gave it a new lease on life. Performance was pretty much as expected running off the USB3.0 port on my computer. Might update in the future if there are any changes, but otherwise it meets my immediate needs.

I recently backed up my ps4 to an external hard drive, but the enclosure wasn't great. I decided to look for a different one, and found this one.
For the price, it's not bad at all. Very easy to install, and no screws needed to put the drive in. Also, uses USB-c cable, so good on that too. Worked immediately with the ps4, and all is now right with the world.

The included USB cable didn't work. I expected this based on the other reviews. The drive would appear connected, but I couldn't perform any operations - it would hang while trying to create the filesystem or copy a file. As soon as I swapped the cable, I could perform those operations in a matter of seconds.

La qualità della plastica non è sicuramente il top. La parte lucida tende a sporcarsi mantenendo le ditate.
La velocità di trasmissione con un normale HDD da 1 TB si attesta su 84 MB/s con interfaccia USB 3.0. Assicuratevi di usare un cavo che supporti tali velocità altrimenti andrete in USB 2.0 con transfer massimo 40-50 MB/s.

Die Funktion ist gegeben, aber die Gehäusequalität ist schon maximal billig.
Der dünne Hartplastikdeckel der abgenommen bzw. abgeschoben werden muss um die SSD einzubauen ist sehr dünn und labil. Man muss zunächst drücken und dann schieben. Genau dabei gibt er derart nach, das er kurz vorm brechen ist. Man muss sehr vorsichtig sein, bei mir ist zum Glück alles gut gegangen.
Wer die SSD nur einmal einbaut bzw. die SSD's nicht häufig wechselt oder nutzt wird damit leben können. Für häufigen SSD Wechsel ist das Gehäuse meiner Meinung nach völlig ungeeignet.
Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich nicht viel sagen, da noch neu.
Meine Erfahrung zeigt aber das derartige Billigprodukte nicht länger als 1-2 Jahre halten, ich bin gespannt.
Was mich wundert ist das so billig gebaut wird, typisch China Entwicklung. Für 2-3 EUR mehr würde sich eine deutlich bessere und stabilere Konstruktion mit besseren Materialien realisieren lassen.

Boîtier Externe 2,5 Pouces Disque Dur SATA USB-C 3.2 fournis dans un emballage bien pensé au niveau de l'organisation interne mais ATTENTION : malgré le marquage "6TB sur la boîte, ce produit n'est nullement fournis avec un disque dur de 6Tera Octets (6To). On peut constater le marquage CE sur l'emballage ce qui indique que le fabricant respecte les exigences réglementaires de l'Union Européenne.
Le boîtier à des dimensions tout à fait convenables pour ce type de produit : Longueur 12,7cm X épaisseur 1,8cm X largeur 8,1cm, tout en plastique noir.
La notice est écrite à l'aide d'une police de caractères bien lisible. Le boîtier est fournis avec un câble USB-A 3.0 mâle/USB-C mâle. d'environ 53cm (ce qui est long pour cette catégorie de produit). On peut bien voir sur la photographie que j'ai prise la couleur bleu du connecteur USB-A, preuve visuelle de la présence de l'USB 3.0.
L'ouverture du boîtier se fait en faisant coulisser la partie inférieur vers l'extérieur (présence de traits et d'une flèche où l'on appuie légèrement et l'on coulisse en même temps avec ses doigts) . On vient ensuite placer le disque dur contre le connecteur et on appuie légèrement pour l'enfoncer. Le disque dur est bien tenue entre deux partie en caoutchouc qui maintient parfaitement le tout.
Une LED bleue est présente sur la partie supérieure du boîtier lorsqu'il est branché et cette lumière clignote pour indiquer une activité du lecteur (lecture et/ou écriture).

L'ho comprato per usare un hard disk esterno preso da un vecchio computer che ha smesso di funzionare. Facile da installare e da montare, ha una buona qualità costruttiva ed è molto robusto. Consigliato per rapporto qualità/prezzo.

I like the thickness of the plastic, the padding on three sides and the fact that the cover clicks in place and that you need to put some effort to open it.
What I don't like is the fact that the Ugreen branding and the blue LED light are effectively on the bottom of the unit. What does it mean? It mean that when you put the enclosure on a desk with the LED light facing up, the SATA connecot would effectively be upside down.
If you are using the enclosure with a mechanical hard drive, it may bother you.
Furthermore, while the enclosure is correctly recognised as "Super Speed Plus" and does indeed work at 10 Gbps when used on PCs with 10Gbps USB ports, sadly if you have a Mac, the speed will be capped at 5 Gbps. It looks like the ASM235CM chipset doesn't work at full sped with Apple hardware (both Intel and Apple silicon).
If you really need a 10 Gbps enclosure, look for one that uses the VIA VL716 chipset, otherwise just buy any regular 5 Gpbs enclosure and save yourself some money.

I came across this after a lot of comparison and reviews and decided to for it when they openly declared the ssd controller to be ASM235M (for those who don't know, it means a lot) on top of supporting UASP
Now I'm using this with an 8TB samsung 870 qvo ssd which is qlc based, so as long as the ssd gives cache, which is for the initial 42 gbs of data written, this case gives a blazing fast 2.8Gbps (Gigabit/s ~ 350 MBps MegaByte/s)
But it can do this in reverse endlessly as when I try to read data from it when there is no bottleneck of writing to a cache to achieve those speeds, it sustains that 2.8Gbps speed all the way without much difficulty.
Also, this the only 3.1 gen 2 (equivalent to 3.2 gen 2, stupid usb org and their naming conventions) in this range that I could find.
There's also the issue with heat dissipation when ssds are put in sustained loads, and this has fairly non airtight design with thinner plastics which helps dissipate the heat quickly rather than allowing the ssd to build up and cook in its own heat.
I'm using this with XBOX Series X and it works perfectly. I play most of my games straight off my ext ssd and they are about as fast as they would be on the internal drive

Worked as advertised. The included USB-A to USB-C cable had a lower performance than when using a USB-C to USB-C (not included) cable. There was about a 9% performance difference.
It also come with a blue activity light.
For some odd reason the packaging has a 6TB label on the outside, but this is an enclosure only with no drive.
The USB controller connection plate on the enclosure does generate some heat (warm to the touch) after pro-longed usage.

I faced it with 3 different enclosures from UGREEN and they all suffer from this. I tested other brands' enclosures and all of them don't have this problem. Works great. I never used the cable that came with the package (my mistake!) I had a problem using some of my own cables that I thought were good cables but it was only connecting via USB 2. I finally found a good short cable that gives me reliable USB 3. It's possible that cable length was part of the problem.

Ho acquistato questo case USB per collegare un SSD da 2,5" alle porte USB 3.0 di un raspberry PI 4 che funziona come server di domotica ed è acceso h24 da 3 mesi.
Il prodotto ha una buona elettronica, permette il boot del sistema operativo su USB 3.0 (cosa non scontata) sul Raspberry 4.
Inoltre è molto stabile, è acceso da 3 mesi e finora non ho avuto disconnessioni, errori di lettura/scrittura o altri problemi. Non scalda neppure in uso intenso, cosa importante visto che il Raspberry mi fa anche da piccolo file server.
Peccato che il prodotto è in plastica molto leggera, non lo trovo adatto come case da viaggio. Inoltre non è stabile nemmeno sulla scrivania visto i piedini praticamente inesistenti. Ho risolto con dei piccoli gommini adesivi che ho applicato sulla base del case.
Nel complesso è un buon prodotto, merita un 8 pieno, ha una buona elettronica, la connessione è veloce e molto stabile, peccato per la struttura in plastica che potrebbe essere migliore.

Ich habe eine Samsung SSD aus einem alten Notebook in dieses Festplattengehäuse gesetzt.
Der Einbau hat dabei nur wenige Sekunden gedauert und war wirklich selbsterklärend.
USB C direkt am Gehäuse sollte die nächsten Jahre Zukunftssicher sein, der Hauptgrund für mich, zu diesem Modell zu greifen.
Würde ich bei Bedarf erneut kaufen! :)

the device was not correctly detected by Lenovo Docking station (USB-C universal EU)
from other docking stations it has no issues but 1 out of 4 docks, it made some trouble.
when it is not correctly detecting it crashes all network and internet too when I removed the cable.
nevertheless, direct access to the laptop has no issue.

Il convertitore funziona bene, con Windows non ci sono problemi, ottime prestazioni, attenzione al cavo però.
Come controller utilizza un ASM235CM, il top USB3.2 Gen2x1 SATA di ASMedia al momento, con supporto USB Type-C (si può usare anche cavo da USB-C a USB-C, in quel caso la connessione è SuperSpeedPlus ma cambia poco o nulla con un SSD SATA).
Non ho ancora provato con Linux.
Il cavo incluso, nel mio caso è difettoso, oppure di scarsa qualità (riportato anche in altre recensioni straniere).
Avevo difficoltà a stabilire una connessione "SuperSpeed" (potete verificare con il programma UsbTreeView, molto utile), quindi la connessione veniva limitata a USB 2.0 con una velocità massima di 40MB/s circa.
Con un altro cavo di qualità, di nota marca, nessun problema, connessione stabile e performante.
Ho provato a chiedere la sostituzione o il semplice invio di un nuovo cavo da parte di UGREEN ma purtroppo sembra che non possono farlo, quindi non volendo restituire l'intero prodotto ad Amazon e siccome ho altri cavi, ho lasciato perdere.
Quindi se avete problemi vi consiglio di provare un cavo differente, assicuratevi abbia il supporto USB3 e che sia schermato correttamente (se avete un multimetro verificate che ci sia continuità tra gli involucri di metallo dei connettori), questo per evitare interferenze con reti wireless o altro durante l'uso.
Do 3 stelle perché il cavo incluso non è all'altezza.

The only thing that some people might consider a downside is that the driver is quite hard to remove from the case, but in my mind that just makes it more secure so you dont have to worry about any pinns getting damaged or the drive itself!

Das Gehäuse aus Hartplastik ist zwar haptisch und optisch keine Offenbarung, die Funktionalität ist aber 1a. Die Installation einer HDD/SDD ist simpel und werkzeugfrei zu bewerkstelligen. Dank der Schaumstoffpolster sitzt die Platte dann auch fest im Gehäuse (bei mir eine SSD).
In Benchmarks habe ich mit dem Gehäuse die gleiche Performance wie an der internen SATA Schnittstelle erreicht - mehr kann man wirklich nicht erwarten.
Wer also nur ein funktionales Gehäuse sucht, bei dem sich die Platte gegebenenfalls auch mal schnell tauschen lässt, ist hier genau richtig. Wer etwas fürs Auge sucht, oder ein besonders robustes Gehäuse für die nächste Weltreise, ist hier aber falsch.

This enclosure is good in most regards, but something buyers should be aware of is that the cable does not seem to work on a lot of different Linux distros. The only distro I tested (of 4) that resulted in this enclosure working as expected with the cable it came with was Ubuntu (22.04). All the other Linux distros required the use of a different cable, which I thankfully happened to have on hand.
This would have been a 5 out of 5 enclosure if not for the cable issue, but if you're just using this enclosure with Windows this shouldn't be a problem for you at all.

We had a motherboard in an old computer die so I pulled out the hard drive to copy the files off. I figured for $20 this was worth taking a chance on and it's perfect. Transfer speeds are fast, setup was super easy, computer recognized drive immediately when USB was connected. I had an older setup with a big power block and multiple cables for SATA and power and it worked, but this is so much slicker and faster.

Nach ca. 3 Jahren gelegentlicher Benutzung ist das Gehäuse allerdings auch schon kaputt gegangen. Das hat sich in meinem Fall durch regelmäßige Abbrüche der USB-Verbindung geäußert, sodass die Festplatte immer neu eingesteckt werden musste.
Die Haltbarkeit lässt sich bestimmt noch verbessern.
